Program Overview
United Christian Home Educators of Placer (UCHE) is a kingdom-building initiative that offers home-educated students a variety of creative, engaging classes supported by a biblical worldview. Our goal is to foster a love of learning and an appreciation for the arts in the context of church and culture, helping to equip the next generation of leaders to excel in the home, the church, and the marketplace. We desire to partner together--creating community, enhancing skills, and building kingdom.
Our interdenominational student body represents over 15 area churches, and our classes are taught by university professors, pastors, exemplary college students, home-educating parents, specialists, and community leaders.
UCHE classes include science, composition, art, algebra, dance, economics, theater arts, band, sports, foreign languages, sign language, history, research, cooking, choir, carpentry, PE, Lego machines, critical thinking, piano, math, guitar, and many other rotating class options. Classes run on weekdays on a semester schedule and are open to home-educated students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Though charter students are welcome to attend our classes, UCHE does not accept charter school vouchers for classes.
